What is NPS?

Net Promoter Score measures how likely a customer is to recommend your company. You ask: "On a scale of 0 to 10, would you recommend our company to a friend or colleague?"

The answers are split into three groups:

  • Promoters (9-10): loyal, enthusiastic customers who will talk about you.
  • Passives (7-8): satisfied but uncommitted customers, vulnerable to competitors.
  • Detractors (0-6): unhappy customers who can hurt your reputation.

The formula: NPS = % promoters - % detractors. The score ranges from -100 (all detractors) to +100 (all promoters).
